We're an 18+ survival community built around player freedom, competition, trading, and a healthy amount of chaos.
We don't believe in having hundreds of unnecessary rules. Play how you want, have a laugh, and don't go out of your way to ruin the experience for everyone else.
1. Respect Land Claims
Claimed land is protected. Do not grief, steal from, destroy, or interfere with another player's claimed territory.
Exception: If you're participating in a legitimate war under the server's war system, the applicable war rules take precedence.
If you want your builds and belongings protected, claim your land!
2. PvP & Wilderness
PvP is enabled in the wilderness. Combat, raiding, ambushes, and general chaos are part of the experience.
However, repeatedly targeting or pursuing an individual player with the intention of ruining their experience may be considered harassment.
The wilderness is dangerous. Enter at your own risk.
3. No Cheating or Exploiting
No hacked clients, duplication exploits, intentionally abusing bugs, or using unfair modifications that provide an illegitimate advantage.
If you discover an exploit, you must report it to staff rather than abuse it.
Don't exploit a problem simply because we haven't fixed it yet.
4. No Spam
Keep chat readable and avoid flooding it with repeated messages, excessive advertising, or unnecessary spam.
Use the appropriate Discord channels for their intended purposes.
Banter and ordinary swearing are fine, but discriminatory abuse is not.
5. Don't Intentionally Cause Server Lag
Build your farms, redstone contraptions, and ridiculous engineering projects. We encourage creativity!
However, intentionally creating lag machines or builds that significantly impact server performance is not permitted.
If your creation makes the server unplayable for everyone else, expect staff to intervene.
6. Don't Be a Dick
We're an adult community. Jokes, pranks, competition, and a bit of friendly shit-talking are all part of the fun.
Harassment, discriminatory abuse, and deliberately making another player's experience miserable are not.
There's a difference between having a laugh and genuinely being malicious.
7. Use Common Sense
Not every possible situation needs its own rule.
If something feels like it's taking things too far, it probably is.
Staff reserve the right to intervene when behaviour clearly undermines the community or the spirit of these rules, even where a specific scenario isn't explicitly listed.
How Mineplay Works
The general philosophy is simple:
Area / Activity - What to Expect
Wilderness - PvP, raiding, ambushes, and general chaos are fair game.
Claimed Land - Your territory and belongings are protected, except where applicable war rules allow otherwise.
Unclaimed Builds - Build at your own risk. If it's unclaimed, don't expect it to be safe.
Player Wars - Conflict between players and lands is permitted within the server's war mechanics.
Pranks - Go for it! Just don't be genuinely malicious or cross into harassment.
Player Trading - Trade, build shops, compete, and participate in the player-driven economy.
A Final Word
Mineplay isn't intended to be a heavily restricted survival server where staff intervene every time someone gets killed or loses their belongings.
Protect what matters, expect danger outside your claims, and don't take things too seriously.
